Extremely underrated subject. Most don’t know that many prisoners of war die after feeding themselves too quickly. Great stuff brother!

Learned a lot. I have broken fasts often with junk food. Also ate meat straight away after long fasts.

I just came off my 5-day fast. I ate too much, but more unpleasant was I ate some Quinoa that was bad. So, my reefed was food poisoning, ugh. Today I am googling and will take your advice to heart.

Unbelievable timing I’m just about to break my first 72-hour fast. These are great actionable guidelines

I’m curious on a potential ketogenic spin to this - is it worth staying in ketosis after the fast, or should you incorporate easily digestible carbs to “reset your digestive system” (dk what that means)

There are a couple of ways to go about this.

1. stay keto and break your fast keto style

2. Refeed on some carbs to replinish all the glycogen that was depleted, then resume keto 3-4 days later

During the fast you have unregulated the keto machinery, you will easily get back into keto afterwards even with some carbs. You will be INCREDIBLY insulin sensitive.
