Walakum al salam. I wish I could, but each case is very different. You will need to work with a good nephrologist to identify a plan. May Allah give you shifa and make it easy on you.

Any tips on staying hydrated if one is already slightly diabetic (7.1 A1C)? Will the similar technique work or should we be more mindful of the sugar?

Or considering sugar will drop later in the day, would the electrolytes technique work?

As a diabetic, you should always talk to your primary care doctor/endocrinologist first. As a general rule, you will need to becareful with sugar, especially if you take medicines that lower your blood sugar like insulin

So the liquid IV is just helping to increase the Osmolarity of the blood? So drinking too much water should be avoided as well when taking the Liquid IV correct?

WHO recommendations is 5 grams salt or 2g(2000mg) sodium.

1/4 teaspoon of salt is 500mg of sodium. Check the math :)
